The Regulations Have Been Made in Various Tax Laws

The following regulations have been made in various tax laws with the Official Gazette dated July 7, 2023:

• The “Usage Fee for Mobile Phones Brought by Passengers outside of the Turkey” has been increased from 6,091 TL to 20,000 TL by the Presidential Decree No. 7344. In addition, a 50% increase has been made to fixed tax fees included in the tariff attached to the Law No. 492 on Fees, which covers Judiciary, Notary, Tax Judiciary, Land Registry and Cadastre, Consulate, Passport, Residence Permit, Work Permit, Work Permit Exemption, Visa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Certification, Ship and Port, License, Diploma, and Traffic fees, except for driver’s license fees.
• The banking and insurance transaction tax (BSMV) rate on consumer loans has been increased from 10% to 15% by the Presidential Decree No. 7345.
• An increase has been made in the gambling taxes by the Presidential Decree No. 7347.
