With over 25 years of experience leading professional services, tax, audit, finance, marketing, operations and sales functions in multinational and entrepreneurial organizations, Mr. Özgür has deep knowledge of the CPA profession and global business trends.

In addition to working at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), General Electric (GE), Prysmian Group and Turkcell Group, he has valuable experience in global CPA associations. Özgür served IAPA, the International Association of Public Accountants, as a Regional and International Board Member and EMEA Regional Chair from 2015 to 2018 and then as IAPA CEO in London from 2018 to 2020.

Özgür Demirdöven joined Allinial Global, the world’s 2nd largest financial advisory association with consolidated revenues of USD 6 Billion, in 2021 as Director of the association’s growing EMEIA region. As of October 1, 2022, Özgür has assumed the role of EVP, Global Commerce, leading the association’s regional directors to increase trade and collaboration among member firms and drive membership growth in each region. He has many years of relevant experience in Financial Advisory and Consulting associations as well as actively practicing in Turkey. Özgür brings a rich understanding of both international trade and world accounting, based on real case-based experience, enabling him to provide the best service to the Association and its members.

Özgür has a truly international knowledge and mindset, with business travels covering more than 100 countries and expat experience working abroad in 3 different countries other than Turkey.

Özgür holds CPA, Independent Auditor, CIDA and 6 Sigma Green Belt certifications. Özgür graduated from Bilkent University, Department of Economics. He is married and has a daughter and a son.
